About This Initiative
This website was developed and is managed and curated by LifeLine Johannesburg.
This website aims to raise the awareness around Gender Based Violence (GBV), Femicide and Abuse that is plaguing South Africa and the world.
It also provides resources, support and practical guidance for survivors and their families and friends.
LifeLine Johannesburg is a South African Non-Profit Organization focused on emotional wellness. We operate from 20 sites across Johannesburg with 84 employees and 90 volunteers. Our ethos and methodology of work is informed by the Person Centred Approach, a therapeutic model developed by Carl Rogers.
Established in 1969, LifeLine Johannesburg has a 51 year track record, offering various quality wellness programs free to the greater Johannesburg community. Our strategic focus areas are personal development and mental health, gender based violence, HIV, TB and COVID-19 prevention, detection and advocacy as well as youth development and training.
